If you’re hanging around Palm Beach and want a casual lunch with frozen cocktails and a resort-pool vibe, Malmok Bar & Grill is a fun stop inside Marriott’s Aruba Ocean Club.
My boy Jonny DELUXE! is a big fan of making a day out of it, and this is one of those places where the setting is a huge part of the experience. You’re right by the pool area, close to the beach, and the whole place has that relaxed Aruba vacation feel.
Happy Hour and Frozen Cocktails
One of the biggest reasons we like stopping here is the happy hour. When the two-for-one frozen cocktails are going, it’s hard to argue with that deal while sitting by the pool in Aruba.
The drinks are cold, the atmosphere is laid-back, and it’s an easy place to settle in for lunch.
Solid Poolside Food
The menu is exactly what you want from a poolside bar and grill: chicken wings, burgers, Reubens, fish tacos, nachos and other pub-style favorites. Everything I’ve had there has been solid and it works perfectly with a couple frozen drinks and a hot Aruba afternoon.
This isn’t necessarily where I’m going for a fancy dinner. It’s about casual food, cocktails and enjoying the Palm Beach resort atmosphere.
Good Stop If You Have a Car
If you’re driving around the island, the Marriott complex has on-site parking and the Ocean Club is easy to get to from the Palm Beach area. Walk through the resort and you’ll find Malmok Bar & Grill right in the heart of the action.
One important note: pool-access rules can depend on the resort and your guest status, so check with the Marriott staff before planning on using the pool if you aren’t staying there. Either way, Malmok Bar & Grill itself is a great casual stop for lunch and cocktails.
